Please check the Network Settings of Collab8 unit, DNS IP and Gateway IP should be correct as per your router to connect to Internet.

Enable Control is a feature to give control of your system to admin while you are in display.

For example: John is in presentation and enables his control. Now John come to display and starts controlling his laptop and start presenting from here.
Now any other user who wants to start control or collaborate with John’s system, click on Start Collaboration and drag their mouse to the top of the screen and the mouse will start working at Collab8 unit and John’s presentation.

Steps to add any other application at Third party Apps

      i.    Go to Collab8 Gateway
     ii.   Click on Features then Settings
    iii.   Enter Admin Password
    iv.   Click on Third Party Apps tab
     v.   Click on Add Application Shortcut, it will browse the system
    vi.   Now locate the executable of those application which you want to add in Third Party Apps
   vii.   After adding all the applications, click on Reboot
Now you can check shortcut of these applications added in Third Party Apps

Steps to set Network settings:

    i. Go to Collab8 Gateway
    ii. Click on Features then Settings
    iii. Enter Admin Password
    iv. Click on Network Settings LAN tab
    v. Here you need to fill in all the Network related details
                  1. IP Address
                  2. Subnet Mask
                  3. Default Gateway
                  4. DNS Server 1
                  5. DNS Server 2
   vi. Click on Apply Settings
  vii. After confirmation message, click on Reboot

Click on File Transfer icon in front of a participant to send a file to selected participant. To send file to all participants click on Cloud icon under features then choose a file and click on “Yes to All”.

Cloud is a small space over Collab8 unit to do collaboration over files. It allows you to open files at Collab8 unit and do editing, annotation etc at Collab8.

I have transferred file through cloud to Collab8 Gateway by clicking on “Yes”, my file transferred successfully but did not opened at Collab8 automatically. Could you please provide the solution?

Any transferred file will auto open in case the display is free and no presentation or HDMI sources running at display. In case file does not auto open you can always click on Cloud icon at collab8 unit and open it yourself for collaboration.

      Windows 7 and Windows 8 (32 and 64 bit)

      Mac OsX 10.7 onwards

      Android 3.2 or later

      iPAD 2 onwards – iOS 5.0 onwards [Recommended version 6.0]

How can we set up the dual screen mode and activate the DP port after booted up the Collab8 system?

You need to go to Bios and setup Display Port as a Primary display port. Then in windows display settings under control panel, check same is shown by windows. Display Port should be shown as monitor 1 and should be left monitor under display settings. If all ok and its set as primary, reboot system. These settings help to setup / resolve Display problems.
